This Privacy Policy (the "Privacy Policy") describes the ways Arkki International Oy, company registration number 2542214-6, a Finnish limited liability company, having its registered address at Kalevankatu 31 A 14, 00100 Helsinki, Finland ("Arkki International", "us", "our" or "we") responsible for your information under this Privacy Policy collects, stores, uses, and manages the information, including personally identifiable information ("Personal Information"), in connection with our website and online learning programs (“Service”). 

All Services provided by Arkki International are governed by this Privacy Policy and by using or accessing a Service you give consent to the processing, use and disclosure of your Personal Information. Please do not install or use the Services if you do not agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. What information do we collect and what do we do with it?

There are three types of information we collect from you:

i) information you give us;

ii) information we automatically collect from your use of the Service;

iii) third-party information

When you enroll as a student or subscriber (“learner”) on our site or related courses, as part of the enrolling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name and email address.

To use certain features of the Service (such as enrolling to a course), we may require you to provide certain financial information (like your bank account or credit card information) to facilitate the processing of payments. The financial data is managed by an independent external party. The external party satisfies the legal requirements to offer and execute online payment services for individuals.

Email marketing: we may send you emails about our site and related course(s), registration, course content, your course progress or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about changes to the course, survey you about your usage, or collect your opinion.

2. Information collected from the third parties

Arkki International may collect information, including personal information, that others provide of you when they use the Service or obtain information from other sources and combine that with information we collect through the Service. We do not control or respond for how the third parties providing your information process your personal data, and any information request regarding the disclosure of your personal information to us should be directed to such third parties.

If you link, connect, or login to our Service with a third-party service (Google, Facebook and others), the third-party service may send us information such as your registration and profile information from that service. This information varies and is controlled by that service or as authorized by you via your privacy settings at that service.

If you log in to our Service using sign-in services ("SN Service") such as Facebook Connect, these services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain Personal Information with us such as your name, email address, and resume to pre-populate our sign up form. Services like Facebook Connect give you the option to post information about your activities on this Web site to your profile page to share with others within your network.

We may collect and record information through the SN Service in accordance with the policies and terms of that SN Service. The information we collect when you connect your user account to an SN Service may include: (1) your name, (2) your SN Service user identification number and/or user name, (3) locale, city, state and country, (4) sex, (5) birth date, (6) email address, (7) profile picture or its URL, and (8) the SN Service user identification numbers for your friends that are also connected to our Service. 3. Information we automatically collect from your use of the Service

The information is necessary for the adequate performance of the contract between you and us, to enable us to comply with legal obligations and given our legitimate interest in being able to provide and improve the functionalities of the Service.

We reserve the right to use and disclose the collected, non-personal data for purposes of behaviourally targeted advertising by us or our partners and contractors.

We may employ third-party ad serving technologies that use certain methods to collect information as a result of ad serving through Services. These third parties may collect and use data, for such purposes, including but not limited to, data such as IP address, Device ID (persistent/non-persistent), MAC address, installed software, application usage data, hardware type, OS information, browser information, IMEI and your device name. The foregoing data may be used and disclosed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the privacy policy of the third party providing the ad serving technology.

5. Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

6. Thinkific

Our course and site is hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”). They provide us with the online course creation platform that allow us to sell our product/services to you.

Your data is stored through Thinkific’s data storage, databases and the general Thinkific application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

7. Payment

If you make a purchase on our site, we use a third party payment processor such as Stripe or Paypal. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site and related courses and its service providers.

8. Third Party Services

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

12. Deleting cookies

13. Web Analysis Tools

We may use web analysis tools that are built into the Arkki International website to measure and collect anonymous session information.

We use analytical information for supporting business analysis and operations, business intelligence, product development, improving products and services, personalizing content, providing advertising, and making recommendations. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any Personal Information you submit within our Services.

14. Age of Consent

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence.

We retain the collected data for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Thereafter we delete all aforementioned data in its possession within a reasonable timeframe.

Some data may be further retained if necessary to resolve disputes, enforce Arkki International user agreements, and comply with technical and legal requirements and constraints related to the security, integrity and operation of Services.

If our site or course is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.

Customers have the following rights:

At every desired moment, you can request access, rectification or erasure of your personal data. In addition to this, you may in certain cases also have the right of restriction of processing concerning your personal data, the right to object to processing as well as the right to data portability. When you object to our use of your personal data, we will discontinue any further processing activity until research about your objection is done.

This Privacy Policy is governed by Finnish law excluding its choice of law provisions.
